Blood. Blood was everywhere. Why was there so much blood? Why was the world spinning? Which way was up? Which way was down? Why was everything so blurred? So very blurred. And the blood why? Why the blood? Why the pain? Why the spinning? Why to it all. Damn everything. Why did she ever have to meet him? Why did she ever have to become so completely and entirely consumed by him to let this happen?
Everything went black.
We love our tragedies.

The cry of a child pierced through the night air in a simple hut, waking Kagome from her sleep. Her eyes were heavy, but they always felt heavy now that she was a mother. Kagome had given birth to a beautiful baby boy, nearly identical to his father, three months ago in the dead of night.
She picked up her son, cradling the soft spot on his crown, and brought him outside so that he could gaze at the stars. He was out of sorts since Inuyasha had left earlier that night to prevent some neighboring demons from venturing closer to the village. The stars were so bright
Her baby gave another cry, and she carefully
The Truest Companion

A resounding shing rang through the campsite as Inuyasha ran a whetstone across the blade of his great sword, the edge glinting from the warm light of the fire. His demeanor gave nothing away, yet his eyes were pained. They were always pained.
He had lived through so much, seen too much, more then any man should.
Shing
He had seen his mother die.
Shing
He had seen the red blood drip from her wounds.
Shing
He had been abandoned as a child, learning everything on his own and protected by none.

It was coming.
The leaves and foliage crunched under their feet as they ran, trying to escape the horror that was following their every move. It was drawn to them, like the proverbial moth to the flame.
There was a loud crash.
The sound was a large tree falling.
It was getting closer.
No matter how fast they ran, no matter where they ran, it seemed to never loose hope. It never once faltered in its pursuit.
They were entering a thicker part of the forest now in a weak attempt to detour the beast, but it was to no avail. It carried on, still hell bent on following them wherever they went.

The young man had been standing there for the better part of the day. Just standing there on the top of the hill, gazing out into the serene feudal sky. He had watched the changes it had gone through. The calming blues had melted into the vivid reds and oranges. They were so warm so comforting, and yet they were sad at the same time. The deep red almost the color of blood made him think of the day's own death and how it was slowly killing itself just like the day before it, and the day before, and the one before. Each day had to die in order to give birth to the next one. Oh how he wish

He stared hungrily at the object before him, watching as the hot juices dripped out from it. He wanted this delicacy. This special treat. No one had ever offered this to him before, and he felt a lust take over his being as he realized that it was being offered to him and solely him.
It was still covered in many different layers though, and he knew that he had to rectify this problem.
Slowly, he lowered his mouth to the delectable spread out before him, tentatively taking in the round object placed before his mouth.
It was pure, unadulterated heaven.
He wanted more. He needed more. He would not be satisfied

The chirpiness that my sister can exhibit in two words will forever astonish me. How can someone be that happy?
